Dedos in Hong Kong – just a little way from star ferry which is sadly being demolished as the land it’s on is worth far more than history… I’m glad the bunnies got to see it before it went though… when I was little my mum asked me if I wanted to go and see the Star Ferry and I replied “ooh, I’d love to go see the Star Fairy!”

The bunnies have got quite into sci-fi/fantasy and are reading The Book of the New Sun; it is unusual to see them so quiet.

Dedos and Shasha came with me to see a friend of mine; Dedos was SO excited, there were lots of animals for him to play with!! Shasha is a little nervous around ‘wild’ animals and I think Dedos quite enjoyed protecting his sister!
The bunnies meet Mungus, who is a very old and wizened bunny, I think he quite liked the company…

The bunnies are very excited – I am flying to Hong Kong and Beijing soon and the bunnies are coming with me!!

I grew up in HK but had to leave fairly suddenly, it’ll be good to back and see how things have changed and let the bunnies have a look where I came from!!

Have you ever see a bunny fly!!

This morning when I was reading the paper on my way into work Dedos saw me reading my horoscope and asked me about it, and what his would be? So we had a look through his adoption certificates: Dedos was born in June 2006, although we don’t have a specific date he decided that since he was bunny ’18′ he would like his birthdays in future to fall on the 18 of June.

From this we find that Dedos is a Gemini (which he likes very much it is the sign of twins – like him), and being born in 2006, according to the Chinese calendar, means he is a Dog (I think he was rather hoping to be a rabbit, but after reading about it on the internet, I think he’s quite pleased).

Today is Wednesday and so a good reason to have cake (apparently!), I have found that the bunnies are quite fond of chocolate (and can’t be trusted to be left alone with it)…

Dedos and his sister Shasha came to stay with me a few weeks ago and have told me that I have been very remiss in not updating earlier. Also they would like to see some pictures of themselves online, so I am to inform you that pictures will be forthcoming and that you must check back again soon!

Dedos was quite a shy little bunny when he came to stay, but he is gaining in confidence. Both of the bunnies were a little uncertain of the cats when they first moved in but Dedos seems to be quite fond of them now, especially bob as he is so fluffy. He also seems to quite like the fishes and enjoys feeding them. Because Dedos is so keen on animals we are going to visit some wild bunnies at my friends house soon; she is very keen on Dedos and Shasha and spoils them rotten with organic carrots and so on!!

We have been out for walks around the area so that they feel at home, it is getting a little bit cold though so the bunnies are often to be found cosied up to one another reading; I am reading them Automated Alice by Jeff Noon.

Today the bunnies came into work with me to meet everyone and see what it is I do, Dedos is intrigued by the work in the lab, but I think likes drinking coffee the best!!
