[BUNNIES] Please click on a bunny to see more details. You will be able to see a bio, a set of photos of their time in the Chinese Arts Centre while I was doing the [RESIDENCEY] and a web log of the adopted family of their time with the bunny since adoption.
[ADOPTION DAY] Bunny adoptions* took place between 23rd September - 2nd Novermber 2006. All bunny adoption are now closed. Thank you to all that adopted. [PEOPLE INVOLVED] The Sock Giver (Birthparents) - The sock had to be second hand and unwanted by the birth parent. They were asked to give the bunny a birth name, determine the sex and short reason why their sock was unwanted*. The Artist (Foster Family) – 20 socks where chosen to be made into bunnies. My foster family gave me a hand made sock bunny, which I still have. I reproduced the bunnies using the same techniques by machine and hand stitching them. I made them while on my [RESIDENCY] at the Chinese Arts Centre. The bunnies are under my care until they can be adopted. The Bunny (Adoptee) - I took a set of photos of each bunny to be passed on to the adopters. Also mini adoption papers were given with the bunnies as well as adoption information. The Website (Adoption Agency) – The website is to see the progression of the adoption after the child is taken home. If it is felt that the placement for the bunny is not working out from the experiences through the web log new arrangements will be made for a new home. The Adopters – Adopters were asked to pick one bunny to adopt. They are obligated to update this website with their progress for 2 months. I may deem some adopters ineligible to adopt a bunny. If a potential adopter misses the adoption day, it is still possible to enquire about a bunny adoption online (including adopters over seas). *Please note all socks where cleaned before using them in this project. |
